Together, we serve
to know Christ
and to make Christ known
for the glory of God

Our History

Tokai Community Church (TCC) began as a Sunday School outreach from St James Church, Kenilworth in March 1983. Soon afterwards, a Bible Study was begun and in September of that year, the first services were held. After initially meeting at Kirstenhof Primary School, the church moved to its current site in Tokai in 1991.

Our Identity

TCC is a family church where whole families come together to worship and where individual members of those families have come to find new purpose in life through Jesus Christ.

We are committed to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and to the Bible as the Word of God. All our activities are focused on explaining and applying the lordship of Jesus, as explained in the Bible, to everyday living, on encouraging fellowship with one another; and on introducing Jesus to those who don’t yet know Him as their Lord. To that end, we are committed to Bible teaching for the whole family of God.

As a local church, TCC is a Constituent Church in the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church of South Africa (REACH SA), formerly known as the Church of England in South Africa (CESA). Our church constitution may be downloaded here.
